Mr J’s employers announced that they wished to restructure the company to make it more efficient in line with current business needs. Around the same time Mr J decided that he wished to leave his employers for pastures new. He therefore explained this to his employers and they agreed to offer him a Settlement Agreement to affect his redundancy.
Given the necessity for Mr J to receive professional guidance on the terms of the Settlement Agreement and the circumstances surrounding it, Mr J chose to instruct Slee Blackwell’s Employment lawyers to assist. His employers agreed to pay all his associated legal costs. The matter was successfully concluded as under the Settlement Agreement, despite Mr J’s short length of service with his employers and the lack of any potential claims against the company, he received a very substantial sum of compensation.
